We focus on getting young kids excited and encouraging them into the garden by introducing gardening
into their school environment. The importance of kids being outside is vital for their health and
well-being, and there are endless benefits for young kids if they are encouraged to get outside and grow.
We are passionate about our extramural program and want to share this love of gardening and
nature to young kids, by offering it within Pre Primary Schools.
Sprout’s programs are based on fun projects and activities that your children to experience
gardening hands-on. Through our school gardening program, they can learn new life skills, social
skills, self-confidence, creativity, physical activities, and adapting to healthier eating.
The program is focused on kids getting their hands dirty by growing their own vegetables and
fruit, from sowing their own seeds, caring for and watching them grow, to see the stages of development
within a plant, even harvesting and simple recipes
Let them learn and understand the importance of food sustainability, being
water wise and recycling waste. But best of all to explore the wonders of nature within their school garden, to be
creative and have simple fun. Join us for 4 programs, one per term offering different activities and
projects relevant to our seasons.
